Welcome to the Heart of Knowledge at IIT Dharwad… The Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC) [Library] is one of IIT Dharwad’s cornerstone support services, fueling the Institute’s commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and lifelong learning.
Our Journey
The Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC) [Library] began in 2016—before the Institute's formal inauguration—operating from a modest room under IIT Bombay’s mentorship at the WALMI campus. Today, it has evolved into a vibrant and fully equipped Knowledge Resource Centre housed in the dedicated Knowledge Resource and Data Centre (KRDC) Block.
Our Facilities at a Glance
- 24x7 General Reading Area:
The upper ground floor remains open around the clock, offering a comfortable, well-lit reading space with 300+ seats for individuals and groups. - Dedicated Library Services:
The first floor houses:- Circulation desk for easy check-out/check-in services
- Comprehensive stack area for textbooks, reference books, newspapers, theses, and dissertations
- Additional reading area for over 50 users, perfect for focused study sessions
