Mr. Gopal Prasad Sahu, Research scholar, Department of physics, has been awarded with the 2nd Best Poster Presentation Award for his presentation on "Hong Ou Mandel Interferometry for Fiber Optic Quantum Gyroscope", at the SCOPOSIS 2025, a joint event that brings together the decadal edition of the Student Conference on Optics and Photonics (SCOP) and the 48th Optical Society of India Symposium (OSIS). 
The work, carried out at Photonic Science Lab, Physical Research Laboratory, Ahemdabad in collaboration with his advisors Dr. G. K. Samanta (PRL, Ahemdabad) and Dr. Kavita Devi (IIT DHARWAD), investigates advanced quantum interferometric techniques to improve the performance of next-generation gyroscopes.
